    Great product! I am amazed at the bark and smoke flavor I get. I was hoping it would be good to use to try out new recipes, and it's great. Well done, do you have a larger model in the works?

    I would like to know exactly how this "smoke eliminator" (especially the carbon monoxide component) works without using filters. All the reviews mention still smelling a smoke scent while operating the unit. Does GE have PM2.5 and VOC level numbers available?

      @vonanthonymacaraig1211 that is Borax. It's used as a Flux to prevent oxygen in the air from reacting with the hot steel to create an iron oxide layer, which would inhibit the Forge welding process.

    Looks great. Going to try this at the weekend this week. I will add to my recipe about 6 Stevia packets (instead of sugar) as well as some MSG to kick up the flavors. Additionally, I think I'll drain most of the fat from drippings before adding the meat. I'll then toss it all into my slow cooker for about 3 hours on low in order to ensure the ground beef soaks up the sauces/seasonings. I'll let you know how it turns out! Thanks for the idea!

    Damn! What a great idea. I have to set the alarm for 3 in the morning in order to have the starter ready for making the sourdough at 8am - sometimes it's ready, sometimes it isn't. I seem to use as much flour to get my starter up to speed as I do to bake an actual loaf. Hooray to this idea!

      And that's the Truth of it. Varying amounts! Lol. I you could develop a method and a means (tech) to achieve a 'universal method and Recipe' ... a 'Gold Standard' method Recipe for a Standard Sourdough Loaf. That would be the 'holy grail' of BreadMaking. 😊

    I would love being able to say "Hey I want to my starter to be ready at XX:XX time (whenever I get home from work)." Right now I take my starter out to feed it, and it takes a feed or two before it's nice and bubbly to bake with it. I think this product also needs to be really careful on cost. I can keep my starter and do what I'm doing now for almost nothing, but if there was some affordable tool to help me with it, so I'm spending less time thinking about when my starter will be ready I think that's a product I'd be interested in.

    • @Firstbuild
      @Firstbuild 14 днів тому

      @DeliciousManX we found it's most likely because the Smoker is a "closed system" as compared to a traditional outdoor Smoker. Kind of creates a sous vide like effect, holds in moisture better, etc. In any case, we usually get great bark, from brisket to chicken wings. With just salt and pepper in most of our smokes.

    Bro. I NEED one of these. I used to live on my own. I’d use my Webber and my pellet smoker on the apartment balcony. Never got caught. Never got in trouble. Now my lame girlfriend wants to move in together. She doesn’t want me to grill on the balcony cuz she’s afraid of “lease violations” 🙄. You’re telling me I can get real bbq indoors now? I don’t have to gorilla grill under the cover of darkness any more? This is an absolute game changer!!!

    This would be a pointless product, but I'm sad to say it might be profitable. Instance coffee just needs an electric kettle, a scoop, and a mug - all inexpensive commodities. This device just automates the heating and dosing of the water and coffee powder. But you'll also need to solve the problem of storing the coffee powder in an air-tight container, extracting a dose, and re-sealing the container.
